Thanksgiving Break Dates:
Residence Halls Close: Tuesday, November 26th at 7:00pm
Res Halls Reopen: Sunday, December 1st at 12:00pm (Noon)
Break Housing Fees:
$50/night (Total Break=$250)
The Office of Residence Life will review your request and contact Students via their Nichols College Email. If a student wishes to leave for weekends, for example, that student would still be charged for these days as the student would still have access to the residence hall.
Fee Exemptions:
- Athletes staying over break due to sport obligations do not need to fill out this request form and will not be charged the per day fee while they are on campus for an official athletic obligation.
- International Students and Students who live more than 350 miles away from campus.
- Student Employees who are working during the break period and have their supervisors’ approval.
- Students completing required classes or internships during the break period.
Steps to Apply
- Log into the MyHousing Portal
- Click: “Applications & Forms” at the top of the screen
- Click: “Thanksgiving Break Housing Request (2024FA)”
- Fill out completely and click “Continue”
- You will receive a confirmation message once your application is submitted successfully
Applications are due by Wednesday, November 20th at 4:00pm.
Additional Information:
Dining Options: Meals are the responsibility of the student with limited options available for the break period. Student meal plans will not operate during break.
Late Application Fees: Students who do not fill out the break housing application by the set deadline will be subject to a $50 late application fee.
Approval Process: The Office of Residence Life will notify Students of their application status within 3 business days of submission. Staying over break is not a guarantee and if my request is declined it is their responsibility to leave campus by the deadline.
