Step 1 – Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible to participate in the Room Selection Lottery, you must complete all requirements:

  1. Student Accounts – Students are considered ‘cleared’ if there are no Student Account holds. All holds need to be addressed no later than 4pm on February 25, 2019. If you have any questions about your account, please contact Student Accounts directly at SFS@nichols.edu or 508-213-2288.(Students who clear their deadline after 4pm on February 25, 2019 at 4pm will be considered LATE, and will make their entire GROUP LATE)
  2. Registration – Students must be registered with a full academic course load (12+ credits) for the Fall 2020 semester by May 11, 2019 at 4pm. If a student is not registered for classes, they will be removed from their housing assignment, with no guarantee that their original chosen assignment will be available once they are registered for Fall 2020 classes.

**THERE IS NO HOUSING DEPOSIT REQUIRED**

Current Commuters

Any Commuter student interested in living on campus for the 2020-2021 academic year will need to come to the Residence Life Office (Fels 301) to complete Change of Status paperwork no later than 4pm on February 24, 2019. Current Commuters must follow all steps and meet all deadlines to be eligible to participate in Room Selection / Lottery.

Commuter Lottery Points

If you are a Current Commuter requesting Housing for 2019-2020, the Commuter Lottery Points of 1,000 (one thousand) ​will be ADDED to your Random Lottery Number. (Example; Kermit D. Frog lived off campus in Fall 2018 and wants to live back on campus for Fall 2019. Kermit’s Random Lottery Number was 855, then the 1,000 Commuter Lottery Points are added to make his new Lottery Number 1,855)

3+1 and 4+1 Students will be included with the Class of 2021. NOTE: If you will be a Graduate Assistant (employed at Nichols College) in 2020-2021, you cannot be housed in the residence halls and will need to find alternate housing.

Graduate Students who are interested in housing for 2020-2021 please email reslife@nichols.edu no later than February 24, 2019 at 4pm. We have limited spaces reserved for Graduate students for 2020-2021. If you will be a Graduate Assistant (employed at Nichols College) in 2020-2021, you cannot be housed in the residence halls and will need to find alternate housing.
